About Scott Reader

Scott Reader is an RSS reader built by me, Scott Steinhardt, based on my particular specifications. After using RSS for over 21 years and thanks to the advancements of large language models, I was able to create an RSS service that works on the web, syncs using the Fever API (to mobile applications), and doesn't look horrible. Also it runs on free architecture (Cloudflare Workers and Pages) so it costs me nothing. Most importantly, I can add features whenever I want and not rely on the kindness of the few people still working on RSS apps and services.

Will Scott Reader be made open source?

Yes, and soon. I will put it on my Github.

Why Scott Reader?

Because I am Scott and my friend Tom suggested the name. Also it sounds like Scott Reeder who played bass on some of my favorite Kyuss records and produced the first Sunn O))) record.

Why go out of your way and build something from scratch when perfectly usable things exist already?

Because it's my job.

Where can I get an account?

Email me.

Will you ever implement analytics, logs of what users read in their own private account, or any other things of which make the service less private?

lol no

Okay but what is Scott reading?

Check it here.
